D2DL operates a weekly service which is available to people who live with mental illness or mental distress. Each month D2DL produces a calendar of structured group activities which take place at the MHACA premises and other venues around town. In addition to structured activities, a Drop-In Centre is open Tuesday – Thursday from 8.30am to 3.00pm and Monday and Friday from 8.30am – 12pm. Drop-in includes a welcoming space where people can come and work on their recovery in a variety of ways. The program provides a comfy lounge area, kitchen facilities, and computers with internet access, an assortment of activities such as board games, library, DVD’s and music, art/craft and physical activities, as well as laundry and bathroom facilities.

🚨 Call-to-Action to reduce the life expectancy gap for people living with mental health issues 🚨

Equally Well Au campaign urges the NT Health and Mental Health Minister to address ongoing inequities in access to physical healthcare for people living with mental health conditions.

The Call to Action highlights the significant and preventable health disparities faced by people with mental health challenges. Currently, people living with mental health conditions die, on average, 11 years earlier than the general population, often due to preventable physical illnesses. Around 46 lives are lost every day — a tragic and unacceptable outcome driven by discrimination and systemic barriers.

Signatures play a critical role in amplifying this message and strengthening the collective voice calling for change. The more people and organisations who support the campaign, the harder it is to ignore.

NT residents are particularly encouraged to sign as representation from the Northern Territory is currently low.
