December Group Activities Calendar

With Christmas approaching we have some special activities as part of our group activities calendar this month:

  • Thursday 1 December – Christmas Tree Decorating @ MHACA
  • Friday 9 December – ASTC Christmas Night Markets
  • Wednesday 21 December – Participant Christmas Lunch @ MHACA

In addition to structured activities, a Drop-in Centre is open Monday 8.30am – 1.30pm, Tuesday – Friday from 8.30am to 3.00pm.

The Drop-in Centre is a welcoming space where people can connect with others and participate in activities. It provides:

  • a comfy lounge area
  • kitchen facilities
  • computers with internet access
  • activities such as board games and craft
  • musical instruments
  • laundry and bathroom facilities.

MHACA is seeking a Senior Health Promotion Manager.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive senior manager with a strong background in community engagement/public health education. The right candidate will be confident in overseeing projects, events, resource development, marketing campaigns and training. They will also have a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and their budgets, including evaluation and writing reports, and be able to nurture positive stakeholder relationships. They will be compassionate, have a flexible mindset and be able to contribute to a supportive environment for people living with complex mental health challenges.

This role will manage 3 mental health promotion, education and training programs with small teams: Health Promotion Unit, Central Australian Suicide Prevention Training Program, Living Skills Pilot Program. As a Senior Leadership Team member, the Senior Health Promotion Manager will support the overall effective delivery of services by MHACA, with a focus on risk management, compliance and meeting strategic objectives.

POSITION HOURS: Full-time ongoing, 38 hours a week
SALARY LEVEL: $116,213.10 – $131,061.56 (MHACA EBA/SCHADS Level 7/8 depending on experience) + 11.5% super
