Mental Health Training

MHACA continues to develop training opportunities to minimise the stigma associated with mental illness in Central Australia. The training is open to both organisations and individuals to support those in a place of vulnerability.

MHACA facilitates accredited workshops in Aboriginal Mental Health First Aid training in response to local demand.

MHACA can provide tailored workshops on Mental Health In The Workplace and Self Care for Mental Health as requested.

MHACA has a Learning and Development Framework for MHACA staff which delivers mandatory training within the workforce.

MHACA has also maintained an active Peer Support program with peer workers participating in training in Foundations of Recovery practice, NDIS for peer workers, ‘Keys to Success’ and ‘Staying Safe’ (VALID training).

Training for larger groups can be delivered online or scheduled for venues offsite with more space to accommodate physical distancing requirements.

Please email training@mhaca.org.au if you would like more information on upcoming training opportunities.
