New Mental Health Tenancy Support Program

MHACA is excited to announce a new program with a focus on supporting participants to obtain and maintain secure housing. The program emphasises a client centred approach with an aim to deliver a holistic and tailored plan for the individual.

Along with the new program we also welcome the two new Tenancy Support Workers who will be implementing the program. Michelle Fearnhead, who will be working full time and Helen Law, who will work three days per week. Both have extensive experience and knowledge that will benefit the program and the participants and both are looking forward to engaging with participants and stakeholders and building positive and rewarding connections.

The Mental Health Tenancy Support Program can help individuals understand their rights and responsibilities as tenants, advocate on their behalf, and assist with other issues and worries that might be impacting on their ability to maintain a tenancy.

A referral form will soon be uploaded to our website, but in the meantime, please contact the MH-TSP workers on 8952 4600 to find out more about the program or to make a referral.

More information can also be found on the Individual Support Services page in this website.
